I've read other reviews on this jacket that criticize the asymmetric zip and they drive me a little crazy. Asymmetrical zipper is a stylish feature of the classic motorcycle jacket! The recognizable asymmetric zip, lapels and buttons were originally designed by Irving Schott around the same time motorcycles were first being made to cover and protect the body from strong winds when riding a motorcycle. Whether or not you like the asymmetric zip on a biker jacket is a matter of personal preference, but I think it's worth noting that not only is this a very common style for a motorcycle jacket, but how the design actually came about. This and also the ad make it very clear that the zipper is asymmetrical so that's to be expected. It should be noted that when you wear the jacket open as a finished piece, it is completely symmetrical and you won't even notice it. I'm 5'4, give or take 120 pounds, and I ordered a small jacket. I found the jacket size perfect for me as a petite person. It is worth noting that the jacket fits snugly. So if you want to wear multiple pieces or feel like you need something with a little more room you can go up a size, but I like a chic skinny biker jacket (I love structure and find big jackets sloppy) so personally I am glad I picked up the XS. The sleeves hit just the right spot on my wrists. All zippers appear to be strong and well sewn in and the color is quite pretty. I will say that this item is clearly faux leather and not real, but I find this to be quite common with faux leather jackets. It has a slight sheen that suggests it's not real leather, but to be honest I've never seen a faux leather jacket replicate the real thing unless it was astronomically expensive. For me, a nice motorcycle jacket is an integral part of my wardrobe and I am very happy that I have it.
