They proved to be excellent value for money. I use them to package and store my old Laserdisc collection. (It's hard to believe that a so-called "laser disc" is now unplayable.) As a result, discs are much heavier than traditional records. Regardless, the boxes have held up and appear to be quite sturdy, which I think is due to the way the folds are designed. That's why I loosened up the illustration a bit in the less intuitive instructions for folding the perforated box flaps. (The lids folded very easily.) I totally agree with the other reviewer: if you're making ANY cut instead of just stripping the perforation, you're doing it wrong. Just count to 10 to get rid of the frustration and try again. In the end it will pay off.
