I started using a desktop humidifier at work last year because I had a bad cough from a cold over the winter. Dry air in the workplace did not help. But even after the chill passed, I found myself enjoying the refreshing mist. Honestly, I can't tell if this makes a noticeable difference when it comes to keeping my skin from drying out while I work, but I do notice that my sinuses don't get as stressed. The only thing that stopped me from giving this a 5 rating was the build quality. The micro USB connector is slightly off center of the hole cut out for it, and that takes an extra 20 seconds of effort every time I plug it in. However, this device is easy to clean and has a removable/replaceable wick. and looks good enough for the $15 I paid for it. The included charging cable (micro-USB) is just over 36 inches (3 feet) long. This device does not work independently of the cable. I use distilled water to avoid mineral deposits.
