It could be nice. But arrived damaged

There are many nice TV stands out there and if looks are all you care about you can get some cheap stands made from "designer wood" or MDF. with laminate. Basically, it's not real wood, and it's not nearly as strong. I liked this one because it's all pine. Not just legs. It took me about an hour to assemble, so it wasn't too bad. The screws that came with them were of a better quality than what you usually get from IKEA, so I didn't have to worry about removing the screw head. All parts were quite strong and only the bottom of each drawer and the substrate were made of chipboard. Standard for cheaper furniture. My impression is that despite all the packaging, one leg was partially broken. Structurally it was fine and located at the back, so no breach of contract terms. What bothered me was the 3 long panels that made up the bottom, middle and top. Somehow they packaged it so that the top of the top panel (the only one that should be visible) had some very noticeable scratches. It was a small process, carefully taking everything out of the box and there was no way to put it back. to return it, so all I have to endure is this damage to an otherwise nice and solid TV stand. The last thing to note is that despite very careful alignment to make sure everything was lined up, somehow the grooves on the sides of the drawers weren't straight. So all 3 boxes were tilted. I tried to see if I could move something to fix this but was unsuccessful. I don't know, not the end of the world, but still a bit annoying and visually unpleasant.

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Some difficulties
