I bought this inexpensive adapter cable to display photos from my Nikon CoolPix S6300 camera on a large HDTV screen. The extra length allows me to sit on the couch and use the camera to control the viewing of photos in a much larger format. Photos don't fill the entire display area of a TV screen, but they certainly look MUCH better than a tiny LCD screen on a camera or other device. Use this cable to connect a MINI HDMI output (from any device that has one) to a standard HDMI input on your TV or monitor. Once you have connected the device and turned it on, all you have to do is use the TV remote control to change the display source from the TV to the HDMI input you connected the cable to.
