These lamps are still in good condition. They don't dim as well as older bulbs and the color of the light isn't as good, but at full brightness they're almost equivalent and produce a lot less heat. The comparability with old light bulbs reduces the brightness of the glow obtained. Very low light conditions / very dim don't occur - they just turn off. Just before they turn off / at the lowest possible brightness, the light has a painful quality. Unlike many LED bulbs, they don't hum (I can hear most high power dimmable bulbs). We rarely use the dimming function, so good light at full power, low temperatures and quiet operation make these coveted lamps exceptional. Life span. In our kitchen, where there are many windows (in a house where nobody is home 5 days a week), they are about 1 year old.
