I bought some travel toys for an upcoming trip to keep my 12 month old entertained in the car. After reading about the dangers of plastic, I looked for toys made of wood or fabric, since she'll put anything in her mouth right away. These peas in a pod are perfect! They are so cute and super soft. That way she can hug and squeeze or bite the pod and I don't have to stop her. The included connector for attaching to a stroller or car seat is plastic, but can be removed if you want your child to just play with a toy that's not strapped to anything. I love that each pea makes a different sound because they love things that rattle and rustle. When I first saw this online I was hoping the peas didn't crumble because we were sure to lose them. But they are firmly connected to the inside. So that's great! There are no washing instructions but I believe you can clean the surface or even put it in the washing machine like I have done with soft animals before. It would be nice if it was made in the USA but overall I am very happy with this purchase and will be adding Manhattan toys to my list of favorite brands!
