Review on Thermostat Housing with Sensor and Gasket for Mini Cooper R55 ๐Ÿ”ง R56 R57 Countryman (2007-2013) - Part# 11 53 7 534 521 902-812 by Todd Wigfall

However, it does not fit my 2011 Mini Copper.

Although this part did not fit my car, I have since found that all I had to do was purchase an adapter from a Mini Cooper dealership for around $45. Apparently that was all it took to get the part working. The part has been updated to make an adapter that you can purchase separately. Unfortunately the garage didn't do this so I will be taking the car to a Mini dealership to have it repaired. For something like that, I almost regret not going to them first. Would save a lot of money on a repair shop at work and replacement parts to keep it from working. Also, I can do it in one go instead of buying the part and waiting for the workshop to make it.

Pros
  • Engine Cooling and Climate Control
Cons
  • Everything OK
