DISCLAIMER: I returned this item without actually riding in it. The first thing I noticed about this "shirt" when I pulled it out of the box was its weight. I assume "light" refers to what you're used to. I was carrying a Troy Lee 7850 and was looking for something that actually had a CE mark and the 7850 didn't. This one caught my attention because almost all pads are CE certified and made from 3DF material. Of course, all of this comes at a cost, not just in dollars but also in weight. This thing seemed to weigh a ton. I am a BMX rider and in our sport weight plays a crucial role. We use titanium bolts to reduce the weight of our bikes. Putting this thing on made me feel like I was wearing a weight vest. Then I realized that although advertised by the manufacturer as a bike guard, this is more intended for motorsports. I can't imagine not feeling this thing while driving. If I ever start riding motocross this will definitely be the body armor I will strive for. It fitted very well (6'1 180) and offered a lot of coverage. Although while I'm on a bike it's a bit much. I give 5 stars because the weight is listed on the Leatt website and meets all the claims it advertises. Do your homework if you're looking for something "simple".
