Great compact flash! (Except for one big mistake.)

I've been using this style of flash for many years and bought a pair in 2015 but never got around to writing a review. My main flash for a long time (2010-2015) was the Sunpak RD2000. But it doesn't keep up with the new Canon cameras and doesn't work after 5D3. I now use this flash on my 5D4 when I'm moving a lot, especially in crowded areas. The flash doesn't take up much space vertically, so it's not that hard to twirl people around with it. The most annoying thing about this flash is the power button. You can't turn it off quickly. (That's why I only gave the flash 4 stars.) If you try to just hit the power button, you'll get a modeling light. The power button must be held for 2-3 seconds. It's a pain when you want to enable/disable the flash quickly. And it's embarrassing when you're in a dark place. I wish they had paid more attention to this and changed their design thinking to keep the modeling light powered and just quickly press the power button to turn it on and off. vain. wump wump. Here is a small remote flash for you. rats! Pros: - Well made, well packaged etc. - Decent quality diffuser included. Not as good as the StoFen, but decent. - BIG PLUS - It has a METAL LEG and a METAL LOCKING PIN. - It can be rotated BOTH VERTICALLY and HORIZONTALLY. - Decent battery life with eneloop batteries, good charging times. Cons: - The operation of the power button (press and hold to turn on/off) needs improvement. - The flash output is somewhat inconsistent from shot to shot. Expect a 1/4 - 3/4 stop difference between shots. - Does not work with wireless triggers. Overall a great flash for the price and well made. It just needs a few upgrades to be perfect and get 5 stars. It was a HUGE improvement over the SunPak RD2000 minus that pesky power button issue.
