My daughter is the smallest child in the kindergarten class, but her feet are huge. Sometimes it seems that she wears flippers. Finding socks isn't easy for her, and she's picky about the "bumps" in her socks. There are some that she almost doesn't want to wear because of the "bumps" near the heel or toe. I bought these when I was looking for the perfect socks for her. The height seemed to be based on her age, but she was on the lower end of the age range. This is what I bought and they seem to fit her perfectly. At least she's her age. You have good socks. At the moment they have been serving for more than a year and she still wears them. The happy shoe-to-father ratio is much lower on these socks than the others she wears. She wore them to play, go to school, walk around the house and even go barefoot a few times. At the moment none of them have holes, but you can tell that some of them are worn. After a year of use they didn't get as bright either, but I don't expect any difference. The heart/stripe pattern is cute and there are good color combinations. They clash with something she wears because of the pattern from time to time, but they are cute with casual summer wear. She finds them comfortable, they keep her feet warm in the winter but she never complains that they are too hot in the summer. She's about to outgrow them and I'm sure it's a combination of feet growing and socks shrinking. As far as I can tell, she's going to stop wearing them because her legs are getting too big, not because they're too worn. Good quality socks can be hard to find, especially those with a low concavity.
