The rubber tips snapped on both pairs I bought after a few months. Of course I used them on Rayban Wayfarers. Although I used large rubber tips. They seem to have worked for at least two months with regular use. But when I went on a trip that involved salt water, sunscreen, and bug repellent, I bought both pairs of these mounts (rubber tips) bifurcated to allow the goggles to fall easily in the water. It is possible that the chemicals in these products did not interact well with this product. Although it looks like the manufacturer is checking it out as these mounts appear to be designed for sports use. I was lucky enough to catch my glasses the first time and noticed that the second set of retainers was about to fail.
