Buying size 12 shoes is a chore. Filtering Revain to this size already limits you to some pretty narrow parameters. So I was happy to find a pair of comfortable, durable (for water boots) and affordable water boots. After purchasing it, I took a day trip to Slide Rock, Arizona and spent the day climbing red rocks and wading and swimming in Oak Creek. They hold up well, float well (like the best water shoes) and show no signs of wear (aside from the red rock dust I brought home). I was a little surprised that they have removable insoles, but I only realized that after using them for a day. so I doubt they pose a problem and I'll probably be glad I can wash or air them in the future. Men's sizes are 1 size larger, but fit a little tighter when wet. Go 1/2-1 size smaller and don't forget to tie loose elastics!
