If you've tried astrophotography before, you know how difficult it is to use the viewfinder. The tripod is set low for stability while kneeling and trying to look at the sky. That makes it a lot easier. I've seen reviews of similar products complaining about the size. This is a one size fits all option. Of course you have to set the focus, it's not designed for a specific camera. But it literally took me less than 1 minute to focus. step one focus camera, Step 2 Focus the viewfinder, done! As long as you don't focus on the viewfinder, it should be set. This is my only complaint. I wish there was a way to lock the focus so it always stays set. From now on you have to install it every time you use it. This also takes less than a minute. I use Canon cameras and this works great on my T3I and should work on any Canon T-series. There is a second Canon adapter for D-series bodies that I no longer have so I can't tell if it is works or not. However, I can say that it does not fit Canon's R-series bodies. There is a second Canon D-series adapter that I no longer have, so I can't tell if it works or not. However, I can say that this is not suitable for Canon R-series bodies.
