Review on ๐Ÿš— Nano Gravel Road Tire - Looking to Buy by James Brault

Revainrating 4 out of 5

There were issues in the first iteration that appear to have been fixed.

I had/installed 4 pairs of these tires, all tubeless. The first pair I bought was in January 2016. They cried from both Stans and Orange Seal. While deflation was not an issue, continuous sidewall leakage is always an issue related to tire ply separation. And sure enough, a year later I found a bulge between the liner and carcass that eventually gave way and caused a tear in the tire that even Orange Seal couldn't stop. The other three pairs (bought about 3 months ago) were flawless. The sidewalls don't squeak and the bead seems to snap a little easier (depending on the rim it may need some coaxing with soapy water and high PSI). Comparing the first pair to the other three, a significant increase in sidewall strength can be seen. It is less flexible, thicker and less pliable. In terms of performance, the tire is great in dry conditions. I prefer the Nanos draw to my heavier WTB Horizons, although the Horizons let me get by with about 5-10psi less. The tires stick out about 43mm on a rim with an internal width of 21.5mm. (American Classic 101), so be careful with your landing. Removal of a star due to poor ability to get rid of dirt.
