This stencil set is ideal for gel printing. They are thin enough to be covered in paint but strong enough that I don't have to worry about tearing them. However, while I love all the variety, I received a copy of the stencil in the top right corner and not the brick stencil. However, I don't mind much... You can clean them. They get dirty, but since that doesn't affect the quality, I don't really mind. Throwing them in a container of soapy water after use will usually wash off acrylic paint. In case I forget...it would take a lot of elbow grease and a few torn paper towels to clean them up. The patterns are clearly cut out, but paper towels tear when you try to rub them. I can switch to using a microfiber cloth to fix this problem. All in all this is a good stencil set for a very small price. If I was very careful about what stencil I use, or doing a really delicate project, I'd probably pick something nicer. But for mixed media, it works great!
