I've had this knife for more than a month and I've been belt trekking with it several times. This is a very attractive knife with a wonderful balance that begs to be in it. Now I'm not a knife thrower, but given the weight and balance, I figured it would be best for me to "rocket" the knife right over your head like a baseball and then let go / and head for the target aim (not at the end). it just flies straight) Voila! She rides well and many dead trees received a fatal blow as the 1620 dove deep into the forest. I felt like John Wayne on The Big Trail. Wow. Of course, I often didn't get it right, and the knife's "hit" bounced off the wood (sometimes right back at me, be careful!), as did the little brass caps, the vintage nameplate, and a broken plastic handle. That didn't stop me, I just wrapped the knife in duct tape and when I got home I replaced the pins with 5/16x3/4 inch roll pins, taped everything together and then wrapped duct tape around the handle. is pretty durable now and if you are going to throw this knife you should just start by taking the handle apart and bonding it with epoxy. I used this knife in the backcountry to cut a root under my tent; a good thick blade for ugly work. Also a very nice and comfortable knife, it is carried well on the belt. The key to understanding this knife is that it costs less than $20! What value if you change like I described you will love this thing and you can also pretend to be Duke on the Big Trail (great movie btw).
