Suitable for children but not for serious activity
Basically ok. Not even good enough for studying, more suitable for children. If you press hard, small pieces just peel off like the scraps of an eraser. They're not soft, they're hard. You can melt them a bit with warm hands and mix them with other colors, but generally if you want to learn oil pastels like a beginner, buy something else. Although they are fun to use.
