Review on 🚽 American Standard 047192-0020A Chrome Left Hand Plastic Trip Lever - 30 in x 6 in by Jamar Gow

Whilst I was disappointed reading the comments on this OEM grip break I have to say our last one lasted almost 10 years. When this new one (great price, I must add) from Revain arrived, in order not to risk it, I first increased the tensile strength of the device by strengthening the lever and its handle connection. I smeared Gorilla (proprietary) white *expanding* superglue wherever the grip meets the grip. I then applied expanding glue along the curve of the arm and on the first half of the handle length. Since the handle has an "X" end profile cross-section, I applied this thickening CA along *all four sides* of the "X" length. I sanded the mold down with 600 grit sanding stick as the glue hardened and expanded. After 24 hours the adhesive was HARD. For added overall strength (and, yes, maybe a bit of overkill) I then wrapped the glued lever in heat-shrink plastic insulation sheeting used for electrical wiring and applied medium heat from a blow dryer. Now that the shell is snug and the grip is cool, I installed this heavily reinforced block and connected it to the OEM shock tensioner chain. This handle and lever works flawlessly and will never break from repeated flushing handle fatigue - I guarantee you that! (Please see my review of the flapper and float OEM.)
