This is a great tool, works perfectly; Unfortunately, I wasn't the one who cut the fabric a meter long. I'm sure it would be great for small fabric cuts, but not so much for longer cuts. The learning curve for this tool was too steep for me to quickly cut and use properly. Because I had to take a tool or cloth, reposition it, and keep cutting, a real ruler and slicer was a lot quicker for me. The units are slightly different due to the splint and you will definitely need a self-healing mat underneath for cutting.
