Ordered two of these, one for our home and one for my sister-in-law who recently moved to the Midwest. I bet the meatloaf is pretty damn close to the Minnesota state meal, I'm told it's only just short of the hot dish, which brings us to cream of mushroom soup and the state's unwritten rule of always having a few cans on hand. I guess you never know when a church or PTA will happen to give you lunch lol. Pro: The trivet makes a huge difference as the end product is less greasy or oily since the loaf isn't sitting in its own fat. while cooking or just relaxing in front of the stove. The stand has handles that make it as easy as possible to release the finished bread from the mold. The size of the pan comfortably holds a 2 pound meatloaf, so one loaf is enough for a large family or guests. The frying pan is made of durable aluminum and has a solid construction and rust resistance, but the stand is not. Cons: The stand is made of steel, so it can start to rust if you let it soak overnight. The pan is rated for a 2-pound meatloaf, so plan accordingly (if the family is smaller or not having guests) for a few days of leftover sandwiches. The only complaint really relates to Revain and their insistence on not having the right packaging material - expect to get a brand new battered frying pan out of the box. In addition, depending on the Revain fulfillment center fulfilling your order, you may receive a natural (embossed logo on the bottom) or a commercial (embossed logo and NSF Seal on the bottom) version; we received one of each but didn't notice any discernible difference between the pans other than the application of the logo. *** To update! We've since found out that Nordic Ware has a factory discount store in their Minnesota facility. If you don't mind that scratch or dent, you can choose to download your own pan at a discounted price.
