I've read many reviews of "mine broke after a year!" or something of that nature. So my brother bought one. He loved the color upgrade and how crisp/sharp this monitor looked on his new gaming client PC. A year later no problems. So I bought one. Another year has passed, no problems. So I bought a second one for myself (three screens, my laptop is on the left) and one for my fiancee. It has been over a year since the last two monitors were purchased and all of our monitors are still working. I've always used HP monitors (my last one still works in my mother's office after buying it in 2010) and I've never had a problem so I can only assume a select few had shipping or factory issues. who have a defective monitor. As for the monitor itself, the colors are customizable and there are multiple one-click settings (movies, games, etc.) to change the look automatically. I love playing League of Legends or watching Crunchyroll on these monitors. The colors are almost comparable to my Samsung TV. Will this monitor transport you to a kind of virtual 4K world where everything is perfect? Of course not. That's what models over $200 are for. But for less than $100 you really can't go wrong with this monitor as our 4 purchases show.
