We don't have electricity on the porch but the cord on these lights is so thin we can plug them in and place them over the windowsill so we can close the window completely. The video was taken during the day and you can see how bright the lights are. At night they are even brighter. Sometimes the timer doesn't always work properly, but to be honest I'm not sure if it's because one of my pets knocked the plug out of the wall or if it's really a problem with the timer. Overall I'm very happy with these lights and love the fact that we can leave them running over Christmas and keep the porch lights on without electricity. I just bought another set and will be using them on my Christmas tree very soon!
