This wick DOES NOT WORK! As a rule, the entire absorbent surface from top to bottom gets wet from the bottom edge, causing water to penetrate the bottom of the entire block. At least that's how the last console wick worked. This wick gets wet just above the water level, so the air flowing through the device does not pick up moisture. This wick is useless! I've tried everything including soaking the entire device in a wash tub overnight to ensure it gets wet... hoping to increase the osmotic effect required to wet the entire wick. The wick is initially wet, then dries out due to air movement and is therefore completely ineffective! I will try to contact the manufacturer. DO NOT BUY !
