Review on Bathtub Stopper Drain Grid Strainer by Margaret Scott

Perfect solution!: Bathroom sanitary ware

We just painted our vintage claw foot bathtub and the installer did a great job except they painted the old drain white which looked very odd. He recommended getting a piece of chrome that screws into a hole in an old drain, catching hair and preventing small objects from falling down the drain. This seemed like the only aesthetic way to hide the white-painted drain, aside from installing new plumbing, which would have been prohibitively expensive. I almost bought this mount but then realized that the rubber stopper we use doesn't fit it. On a whim I quickly searched Revain for similar items and came across this one. This is the perfect solution! It looks beautiful, matches our bathroom fixtures and doubles as a bathtub stopper and hair catcher! It was very easy to install - just stick with the included glue. The only oddity is that there is a small screw underneath that, in theory, should attach to a hole in an existing drain, but is too short to reach. I'm not sure why it's even there. It seems that if the device were longer it could be screwed on and no glue needed. However, it doesn't matter. Very happy with this purchase.
