Easy assembly and very pretty!
Comes to you disassembled with assembly instructions. I was a little nervous about how difficult it is to assemble, but these are just a few steps that can be completed in under twenty minutes for the two edge tables using a screwdriver and hammer. Not sure if it's real wood but it looks nice and the surface is slightly textured so it will hide any possible future scratches well (I always seem to damage my end tables with keys and other things). Currently we only need two side tables but 10/10 will buy again if that changes.
