I have been installing Gabriel shock absorbers in my cars for over 25 years. They were used on my 2005 Nissan Titan to replace the rear shock absorbers. They are durable and have better damping than OEM shock absorbers. Increased stability when towing a heavy load or towing a trailer. Before you cut the retaining wire holding the collapsed shock, make sure you install the top bolt into the new shock before installing it. You should be ready to insert the bottom bolt as the shock expands. These things are very durable!
