I bought a Viper to replace the DeathAdder that died from time, so I will compare it with it (the last four mice were DeathAdder) The Viper is one and a half times lighter and glides over the mat with less resistance. After the purchase, I discovered that there are additional function keys on both sides of the mouse (two on the left and two on the right). Total - four extra. keys. I basically wanted less, but alas, I took it, I took it. Let's move on to the fun - the software. When the mouse was connected, a menu appeared with the installation of separate (indistinct) software products. Why there are so many for the unfortunate mouse, I don’t understand . Probably marketing. However, I selected the main base application and clicked - Install. After that, my new top-end laptop showed me a blue screen of death (BSOD) and went into a reboot, followed by a system restore. Well . it seems that I was left without proprietary software, and now I can’t change the mouse backlight to my favorite green one. (sarcasm) Actually, it's not all that important. DPI is switched by a separate button on the back of the mouse, near the sensor. A separate LED is also lit there, which shows which mode you have selected. And additional keys can be assigned in the game itself. As for the wheel - compared to the same DeathAdder, Viper's wheel sounds kind of cheap and spins about the same. The wheel has no hint of smoothness. I hope in a year it will be developed and will be better. Let's see. Other than that it's a great mouse and I highly recommend it.
