We've used this type of clamp for years to attach our vintage C-9 Christmas lights to our aluminum gutters. They last about 8 years (Christmas Lights season) before becoming brittle and breaking. We weren't satisfied with any other type of clip so we were glad to find them on Revain. I bought two packs of 100 clips in case I won't find any in the future. Remember that these clips hold the bulb in a straight horizontal position - they don't "hang" on these clips. We love the look, but if you're looking for clips that let the light hang down, then this isn't for you. This year we bought LED versions of C-9 flashlights that have a much smaller "base" (not the diameter, but the depth of the ring that the clip attaches to) that the clips sit on will. They fit well but work well. By the way, we're excited about the new GE LED C-9 bulbs (called "Energy Smart Colorite, a warm traditional glow"). While not as bright as traditional incandescent bulbs, they are bright enough (and much brighter than previous generation LED Christmas lights). And they use a lot less electricity (you can string 22 strings of 50 bulbs (32.6ft long) together).
