I usually work from two different computers which is great. I use Windows PC and Mac Pro with these devices and they work great. The first thing I would like to say about it is that it works with both Windows and Mac without any problems. I didn't have to manually install any drivers. Everything installed without any problems. However, it took a few seconds for the USB ports to be recognized. Speaking of USB ports, this one is unfortunately only USB 2.0, so you are unfortunately very limited when it comes to transfer speeds for USB sticks and hard drives. Next thing I'm going to say is that this device makes it easy to switch and control two computers with one keyboard and one mouse. This really saves my life because I usually switch back and forth between Mac and PC quite often. It also works with any HDMI screen without too much trouble. That being said, it does NOT come with ANY HDMI cable which is standard these days, but it does come with two USB A to USB B cables to connect to your computers. A quick note: you need three HDMI cables to connect this device (one for output and two for input). The best part is that no additional energy is required to power the device. It can draw enough power from the computer and also easily power the device connected to it. Even with a 2.5" drive, it could easily stay powered on and connected to my 2TB hard drive. I put the USB ports further back because I find it odd that my mouse and keyboard are connected in the front. Unfortunately, it's just a mess in the cables. You're also limited to three USB ports. I tried plugging in a USB hub to see if I can get more ports but it wasn't recognized on the device. Unfortunately, this device does not have an auxiliary or headphone jack. So if you have external speakers, they won't connect to this unit, which is a bit inconvenient. In terms of video and audio quality, I don't see a major problem with image degradation or audio issues on any of the computers. Both sound great through my monitor. The device will display whatever the screen supports. I've tried hooking it up to a 720p screen and it outputs the same thing, although you may need to change the settings on your computer. You can easily switch between computers with the switch on the top. You press on the screen and you press and release for another. I wish this was a better shifting system as I'm concerned that sliding up and down will wear down the mechanism of the device over time. As mentioned above, no HDMI cable is supplied, so you will need to bring your own. Again, you'll need at least three HDMI cables to connect to this device. In this device at least, it's made of aluminum alloy, so it disperses heat well. However, this device doesn't get hot, so you don't need to worry about overheating. It's also very light, which can be annoying if you connect cables to it. I decided to attach it to my table. There's no remote control, so you have to switch between different plug-in devices right at that switch. All in all, this is a great toggle if you want to control two different computers on the same screen. You can't control them all at the same time, but you can at least reduce the number of keyboards and mice you need by one. I definitely like the bonus. It is very light and works with both PC and MAC. The downside is that the USB ports are on the front, which is a bit annoying when organizing. That makes it disorganized in my opinion. Another thing is that the device only has USB 2.0, which significantly slows down the transfer speed when you try to connect a hard drive or USB flash drive, but at least it can power it without any connection problems. If you don't care about transfer speed, this device works great.
