Batteries C and especially D get very hot after charging. It took a few hours to cool sufficiently for storage or use; even after they were taken off set, which wasn't easy because they were hot. Is it normal to charge batteries C and D? Is it a security issue? The charger itself got warm but not hot. Do not leave the charger unattended, especially since the C, D and 9V batteries take several hours to charge; 7 or more. Disconnect the charger between uses. Otherwise a very easy to use charger. That it charges AA, AAA, C, D and 9V is a plus. Looks very good. The writing that tells you if your batteries are charging, low, or bad is very small; difficult to read. It came with a pack of each type of battery it charges and its own brand. It's not yet known how long the battery will last, or how long they'll last between charges, but it made the long mini garland nice and bright, while regular uncharged batteries barely made them glow.
