Late Mitsubishi engines are notorious for jack knocking due to poor oil circulation. The elevators were redesigned and around 1998 a new design was introduced. To replace them, the rocker arms in the head must be removed. To do this, people have tried all sorts of do-it-yourself methods, e.g. B. Tape on pry bars to compress the valve springs and release the rocker arm. This is where this tool comes into play. With this, compressing the spring has become absolutely safe for both you and the car parts. A slipped pry bar can scratch the metal cam on the camshaft or damage the roller on the rocker arm. The seesaw can also fly away and hit you or get lost in the engine compartment. If you use the tool, you will not have these problems. It is identical to the special service tool shown in the Mitsubishi Service Manual. The build quality of the tool is excellent and will last a lifetime, but you'll probably only use it once anyway. Made in the USA which is a big plus.
