Like many baby boomers, I wore boots most of the time and was looking for a comfortable alternative. I'm not looking anymore I love these shoes. They have the look and feel of boots and the comfort of a good shoe. They fit my foot size 12M perfectly and offer great support. I like them more than any of my other shoes and boots. The more I wear them, the more I like them. They have several characteristics that some might see as disadvantages. I will list them for a potential buyer. #1. The tread on the sole picks up and holds small rocks and pebbles (see photo). #2. They are not covered with "breathable leather" as the description says, but are covered with soft black fabric. Number 3. They are heavy, about 3.5 pounds on my postal scale. #4. You need to lose the cloth boot strap at the back. Despite these obvious downsides, I still give them 5 STARS. I love these shoes, boots or whatever you want to call them.
