I was diagnosed with back problems years ago, but have used back exercises to cope with bouts of pain. I also get muscle cramps once a year. 2 years ago I started a home based business. I am constantly bending over, sitting on the floor or sitting at the computer, which can cause me great pain at any moment. I have a family member who also has back problems. She recently bought a new couch with a lumbar support pillow that she couldn't stop talking about. Since I didn't have a new sofa, I decided to try a regular support pillow. The pressure I feel when leaning on it not only soothes my back but also forces me into good posture. I find myself straightening my shoulders and tightening my abs. I've also found that I continue to maintain this posture when getting up and doing other tasks. I know from past experience that strengthening your core also helps keep your back strong. I've also found it beneficial to use on the neck. It's nice to prop your head up while watching TV or sleeping at night. Sometimes I fold my pillow into a ball or put another pillow under the pillow to create a curve that supports my neck. It does the trick without having to do my impromptu prop. The mesh cover is comfortable, breathable and machine washable. The memory foam seems to be of high quality so I'm not worried about the reel slipping off. I would highly recommend this lumbar support to anyone with back or neck pain or even a headache.
