My family has a Japanese restaurant that gives children origami paper and has instructions for certain creations on the back of their menu/napkin. Luckily my husband helps our kids fold because I find the more complex creations (combined with confusing instructions) downright frustrating and not at all a "starter" to a relaxing meal. This craft is the complete opposite of the restaurant experience! I bought this as part of an airplane fun kit I made for my kids when we were touring around the country during our summer trips. They both really enjoyed it (although my youngest 6 year old needed help with some creations; however, I was much better at following lines/guides and such). They also had fun decorating their animals with stickers. I was amazed that they liked their origami sets so much that after a few days they even decided to go sightseeing instead of playing iPad or watching TV. They have tucked their finished animals back into a secure storage set in hotel rooms and proudly display them at home.
