Review on 5-Micron Sediment Water Filter Cartridge Pack - FLOW-PRO 5M-4PK (4-Pack) by Stacy Duncan

We have been using these water filters for a number of years. We installed a UV system to clean our borehole water system and the company we bought the system from advised us to use 5 micron filters to prevent sand in the water from penetrating the glass bulb and the Quartz sleeve destroyed. Our well pump specialist says 5 micron filters are unnecessary and a waste of money, but it makes sense for us to protect the piston and sleeve, especially given their cost. We've never had a problem with them and we think they're definitely worth the money. We always get them quick from Revain. I would recommend that you research the exact length you need before purchasing. I once bought a 10" I needed one urgently and my husband had to cut 1/8" off on the table saw because it was 1/8" too long and the case wouldn't close no matter how hard we worked. A difficult way to learn a lesson, but one that will surely stick in your memory if you learn it this way.
