UPDATE 2: Right now I regret buying this Dell monitor. Since the monitor arrived in an unusable state (constant high noise when the screen is not active) I figured a new monitor would be new too. But it's refurbished with a label from Dell Outlet Stores. (There are many scratches on the bottom, but all the exterior parts look new enough to me. I'm concerned about the refurbished interior parts). I know refurbishment is better for the environment, but I stopped buying refurbished products many years ago because I had too much waste. (Also, chances are Dell will sell them in their store for less than the new Revain price I paid.) If this replacement monitor lasts and has a good lifespan, then maybe I'll be happy with it and Dell. (Picture quality is excellent, and setup with Apple laptops is very easy.) I have no hesitation in commending Dell for their excellent and prompt telephone customer service (after Revain put me in contact with Dell). ). But if either of you also get a defective product out of the box, I'll see if you can ask *Revain* to send you a new one and see if you can avoid the Dell process. UPDATE: I seem to be getting excellent service on this defective item. After not contacting Dell Customer Support through the Dell website, I clicked the Revain button for service (in the order history). Revane contacted me by phone with a Dell representative. And Dell responds very quickly and conveniently. Instead of going weeks without a new monitor, they seem to ship it out right away, probably the next business day. And I can schedule the removal of the failed monitor from my house. So people from Revain and Dell came to the rescue. (If I get a new monitor I'll try to revise this review again to increase the stars!) *** Must be nice to get one of these that works! Just got the monitor yesterday. In sleep mode, it makes a loud piercing noise every second. It even keeps making that annoying noise for a while after I unplug it. I would let Dell try to fix it before writing a negative review. But I think they deserve a negative review because their customer service is unavailable. (When I entered the tag number for this device on their website, none of the three contact options - email, chat, phone - were available.) I think I had to wait about 12 days to receive this shipment (not to slow for this time). However now if I try to get a replacement closer to the holidays I'm afraid I won't be able to get it as long as I wanted to work with it.
