It was NOT ADHESIVE and didn't stretch so I'm wondering if the person who designed it knew what it was. You don't have to try to lift a heavy mattress to put a sheet on it. I have arthritis and my strength is low and making my bed has become a problem. My daughter and I actually found a solution which was to attach the hook side to the side rails and the sheets to the fluffy side. Another modification was to remove excess fabric in the corners so everything could be tucked in neatly. The end result looks like a high-end design as the sides are completely covered by the bottom foil.
