Review on Platinum Health PHT2500 Professional Adjustable by Jack Robi

A much needed bedside table arrived yesterday for my bedless 85 year old mother who now lives with me. Arrived very well packaged and protected, not dented or scratched anywhere. And that in a timely manner. With "some assembly required". Gotta love these products that require some assembly. This one wasn't bad at all. I'm the type who only reads instructions when all else has failed. Well, some contested my "I don't need instructions" attitude. Attaching a small stationary table proved to be a difficult task. There is about a 12 inch rod [see photo]. photo], which can be removed from a small table and placed in a sleeve under a large table. Line up the piece on the small table with the rod and insert it into the sleeve, leaving the threads out to twist them together. Put on the "washer" and then turn the handle. Done, I thought anyway. My mom was so excited to get her "stuff" within her reach. I put her Bible on a crooked table and a plastic shoe box full of her personal belongings [hairbrush, comb, cell phone, wallet - everything from her purse] on the solid side of the table - - - and the whole table topples over! I don't think we should put the weight of a ship's anchor in there. The design needs improvement in this area. The base could be about 6-8 inches wider and the support leg would be under a small table and that wouldn't happen. A box wouldn't hurt either ;- }. As mentioned in another review, the height adjustment should be done with a pin in a hole, not a tightened screw. I also changed the wheels. A good product in all respects. I also take care of the children in my house and it's great for them too. I wonder who will win the battle for this table, a 5 year old or an 85 year old? Might be interesting to see! 5 stars for quality, shipping and packaging. But he needs a wider base so he doesn't tip over; I give this part of the design 3 stars. So 4 stars overall.
