Perfect for a young child
I bought this for my daughter for her 5th birthday. She had a toy camera that she liked, but she took very poor quality photos and liked to take photos with our cameras or cellphones. So she seemed ready for a better camera of her own, but it had to be something she could really use independently without fear of damage. I chose this camera because it is durable and waterproof, which is essential for a young child. The controls and displays are simple, intuitive, and easy to learn and remember. The photos are good and she is very proud to show everyone that she has a *real* camera.
