First off, the subwoofer looks great. It looks the same as in the photos. The texture of the wood looks real (I'm pretty sure it's plastic but I'm not complaining) and the body is nice and solid. There were no questions about the build quality, especially for such a price. Good slim size to hide under sofa or TV stand. When I could get it to work, it sounded good. Nice deep bass added to my system without being boomy or cheap. I ended up having to return it due to some issues. As other reviews have pointed out, the Y adapter is rubbish. It shouldn't even be sent by submarine, it belongs in the trash. It just adds one more step to figuring out what's wrong if you can't get it to work properly. It buzzes and buzzes and only works when I press it a certain way. I tested two receivers (Marantz and Onkyo) and both had problems with the "Auto-On" function. He could tap and in the middle of the song he would just switch off. Nothing I've tried fixed it. I could save it and leave it on all the time, but that would be a waste of power and annoying having to pull it out from under the TV stand to turn it on and off every time. There were a few other annoyances when trying to hook it up to my Marantz receiver and those were enough to send it back and get another subwoofer, despite its attractive size and style.
