Damn bright for oncoming traffic, cheap quality courtesy lights

I installed them on a 2008 Kawasaki Concours, tire height. The little lights you see are bike lights, the super bright lights are Sam's lights. My first impression: These lights are well made, durable, and cost over $60 a pair. My only complaint is that they scatter too much light all over the place. If these lights were placed in a housing with headlights they could probably replace your regular headlights. As they stand they are useless on city streets or dark highways at night. You can kill someone with it. I would probably only use them during the day so drivers can see you when I was taking the bike for a test ride around the block, an approaching car had to stop in the middle of the road because of glare so the switch has to be to turn it off , they can also be useful on dirt roads or empty roads where you are sure that nobody is going in the opposite direction. I don't know if they last as long as they say, I just installed them yesterday, but already better than the ones I got from Facebook, that's for sure. Pros: well built, light, cheap, easy to install. Cons: Diffused light makes street use impossible, not DOT approved, mostly off-road/country roads. You may also need to purchase a dedicated bike mount as it doesn't come with any type of mount. Edit: After a long ride of 2000 miles I have the following updates: Headlights hold up well in the rain, no water got in, they seem to take very little power but they are very bright, best use I've had for them, was During the day, since the daytime running lights, the cars pulled off the road long before I reached them in the left lane, people will see you clearly, no problem, better than driving with high beams. At night, when you combine them with high beams, these suction cups turn everything within close range into daylight, and the high beams illuminate the distance. When you're alone on a dark road, these lights come in handy, especially good for finding potholes on dark country roads and other obstacles. An easier way to install them is to hook up a relay to your high beams so that when you turn the high beams on they also turn on and then turn off when you don't. t. Still recommended if you don't want to compromise on daytime visibility and nighttime lighting
