I am on my 4th pair now the rest have not worn out they are just great shoes and I need additions. They're great for regular running with shoes, but I wouldn't buy them for running anything other than trails. They're too heavy for street runners. Of course they ARE heavy profile trail runners etc. so it makes sense right? The profile is excellent for hiking and I almost completely avoided hiking shoes. Sure, you can be ridiculed by REI hikers with their $200 boots, $100 camping poles, and $150 backpack, but you'll feel very comfortable in these boots as you and your kids explore a Spider- Man action figure and a worn out teddy bear swim past them.
