Read reviews. I saw everyone saying something similar. I measured the layout based on the dimensions. Still, it's less than I expected. It's about the size of a lunch bag, not even close to a grocery bag. The bike and person in the photos must be tiny because my bag on the back of my bike looks like a small lunch bag. The top few inches are useless because it won't close. Other than that it's very well made, fits well, is waterproof, insulated etc. I knew it wouldn't be big based on the reviews but I was still surprised. If your only plan is to bike to work with lunch, that's great. For long drives or shopping tours - no. Holds half or less of a milk crate, which can be secured with zip ties.
