Better than most OBD scanners

When I was working on cars, this was a very handy tool. Now I don't work with cars anymore as a friend we used to fix old cars with passed away. I just don't want to do stuff like that. Anyhow, I thought an OBD2 scanner would be handy for me to clear codes and keep track of the details of my new 2019 Ford Escape. Being a brand new car I didn't think I would have any problems, but at the same time if something seems odd, narrowing down the cause before calling the dealer always speeds up the repair, at least in my opinion. Experience. The problem I found with this OBD2 scanner is that not all the functions work with my car. It was pretty disappointing but on the other hand it's nice to be able to clear basic codes and check if my battery is in good condition. I've used OBD2 scanners with fewer features and harder to see and read screens. The buttons are easy to press and it's powered by an OBD2 connector, so no duplicate AAs are needed to power it. The only thing that doesn't really interest me about the device is that it uses a mini USB connector and this is shown in the photos I took for the firmware update. Mini USB is obsolete and sometimes the cable is hard to find in stores. I would go with Micro USB or even better USB-C. In general, if I had a different model car, all functions should work fine. What I've been able to use gives me confidence that the device is a good buy.
