Well I'll answer because nobody else has. First, why did I buy this? Well my wife and I decided to buy a new van for our kids as we had just had our third child and the car was no longer big enough. In a car dealership we look at 2 vans, one with a built-in entertainment system, the other without. The built-in entertainment system costs $1500 extra. All it had was a fold-down, low-end screen with a DVD player and 32GB of digital storage. For real!? Is that worth 1500? So I considered several options. What conclusion did I draw? I could get a device like that, with a decent tablet, a high-resolution screen, and so on. for about 25% of the price. So I bought a decent 11 inch Windows 10 tablet for $350 and this device for $30. BOOM, works perfectly! I can even connect my tablet and stream videos from my home Media Plex server using my T-Mobile Unlimited data plan (or just download all the videos beforehand). I also installed STEAM games with some kids games and a wireless controller that works great with the tablet. This would NOT be possible with an expensive embedded system. And in the future I will not be stuck with an outdated device, as I can still replace it with a new tablet in a couple of years. It is also touch screen and HD screen. Yay! So let me rate this unit: PROS: - Seems well built - NO wiggles or wobbles! It is very hard! - Easy to install and remove when needed. - The flexible length made it easy to resize our van to sit perfectly in the middle. - Tilts left and right up and down after placing the tablet. - My tablet battery died once and I threw away my wife's 8 inch tablet as I didn't have a tablet car charger yet, no problem. CONS: - There should be a small pocket in the glove box to hold the tablet size control. (So easy to change I can't remove a star) Final Word: So, I liked it. It appears to be a quality product and doesn't look cheap. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great travel companion, but it can also fit for a 45 minute commute to work. Just a word of caution, my work gives me a high-end tablet (Dell Venue Pro 11) and it requires an output charge of 19.5V, which you just can't get from a microUSB car charger, so I have another one bought that is not so power-hungry and is always there now. Just make sure you have a tablet that you can use while plugged into your car charger without draining it on long drives.
