I think well designed - the part of the one-way valve that can be inserted into the patient's mouth is not long enough to act as a real oral airway like an ambulance - but I think it will serve in a similar way (though not as well as the oral airways) to keep the tongue down. Finally, the victim's tongue is most likely to interfere with their airway during rescue attempts. I wish there was a pair of tightly packed gloves in this set but this isn't a deal killer for me. It's small enough to keep with you as a keychain; and that is the most important. The best gear in the world is useless if you don't have it with you when you need it.
