I just spent 4 hours getting this (beeping) thing to work and it's useless. I tried this on Mac OS, Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04. None of my operating systems could recognize this device. I've installed several software packages that should install device detection drivers (Win 10) to no avail. I consider myself quite tech savvy with 12 years of experience as a software developer and IOT DIY master. I value my time and it's at least inconvenient to spend 4 hours of my life with this device! 😡 I have to send Aideepen an invoice because I thoroughly tested their device on 3 different platforms to find out if this device is defective or their product sucks. One or the other. It doesn't matter now, they won't have a chance to waste my time anymore. I click submit and then start the return process. **UPDATE**: After submitting my "Ranting Review" the other day, I ordered a HiLetGo version of the same adapter. I plugged it into my Mac and it was found and used immediately. This confirms the fact that the Aideepen adapter was $8 junk. and I spent 4 hours of my life bringing it to life. My advice. Get the HiLetGo version.
