Review on Talc Free Body Powder Deodorizer by Alison Herrier

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works against chafing. If you have a strong nose, it smells strange.

Talc can damage the lungs and talc mines are often contaminated with asbestos. For this reason we have only used powder based on corn starch. It's made with arrowroot instead of cornstarch and supplemented with two types of clay: baking soda, aloe, and vitamin E. The fragrance isn't listed, but the powder has a hard-to-describe smell. Smells faintly of citrus and tea tree, maybe with menthol. The smell isn't very strong and goes away quickly, but it's there. In fact, the smell reminded me so much of cleaning powder that I mixed some with water to see if it foamed. (It's not, haha.) I can't figure out what ingredient is causing this smell as it's not an aloe smell. For those prone to chafing on hot days, this is perfectly effective. If you also put some oil on your teen's shoes, they will smell less awful. It's not enough to prevent underarm sweating, but powder really doesn't exist. No complaints other than a strange smell.
