UPDATE: Looks like it just needed a break. After a few days of use and changing the volume it has settled down and the bass response and reproduction is top notch and very accurate. No more muddy or booming bass. For the price it couldn't be better. I am by no means an audiophile. Heck, I'm a retired US Air Force aircraft mechanic with a hearing loss. But that's where the highlights end. The sound quality is mediocre at best. I hooked it up to a brand new DDJ-SX3 to give it a listen and the bass sounds very muddy. Beat matching with this headset is a little awkward. The bass output doesn't have a clean, hard hit, but rather a "fuzzy" sound. I don't think it's worth sending back. I'll just give it to my daughter and buy something with better sound quality. The buyer should be warned, this headset is not worth it in my honest opinion.
